Vejret i Danmark - juli 2004
Forholdsvis kold juli med et mindre overskud af regn og et mindre underskud af sol.
Juli 2004 fik en døgnmiddeltemperatur på 15.1°C. Det er ½°C under normalgennemsnittet for perioden 1961-90. Landets højeste temperatur 27°C blev målt ved Odense så sent som den 30., og månedens laveste temperatur 5°C blev målt tidligt om morgenen den 17. i Midtjylland.
I gennemsnit ud over landet faldt der i juli 2004 74 mm regn. Det er 12% over normalgennemsnittet. Hovedstadsregionen fik mest nedbør med 107 mm i gennemsnit, mens Ringkøbing, Vejle og Fyns amt fik mindst, kun ca. 60 mm i gennemsnit. Normalt skal der falde 68 mm i Hovedstadsregionen og 69, 66 til 61 mm i de anførte amter.
Solen skinnede i gennemsnit ud over landet i juli 2004 i 185 timer. Det er kun 6% under normalen. Mest sol fik Skagen med 274 timer, mens der ved Holstebro kun kom 161 timer som mindst.

Ozonmængden i atmosfæren var i juli 2004 med næsten normalt gennemsnits-lufttryk 3% under gennemsnittet over perioden 1979-88.
Udsigt for august 2004 - Statistisk set?
Efter en temperaturmæssig forholdsvis kold juli, som i år, følger der rent statistisk en normal august i 60% af tilfældene, og i 20% af tilfældene følger enten en kold eller en varm august. August er normal, når månedsmiddeltemperaturen ligger i intervallet 15-16½°C.

The weather in Denmark - July 2004
Relatively cold July with a small surplus of rain and a small deficit of sunshine
The monthly mean temperature in July 2004 for the country as a whole was 15.1˚C, that is 0.5˚C below normal average during the period 1961-90. Highest temperature of the month, 27˚C was registered near Odense on the island Fyn 30 July, and the lowest temperature, +5˚C was registered early in the morning 17 July in the mittle of Jutland.
Accumulated precipitation for the country as a whole reached 74 mm, 12% above the normal. The highest accumulated rain was registered in the area of the capital Copenhagen, 107 mm in average (normal 68 mm). Least of all Ringkøbing, Vejle and Fyn counties only received about 60 mm in average (normal 69, 66 and 61 mm respectively).
The sun shined across the country in an average of 185 hours during July 2004 – only 6% below normal. The highest amount of sunshine hours was received in Skagen, 274 hours, while the area near Holstebro in Jutland only received about 161 hours.
The weather in August 2004 – statistically
After a relatively cold July like the one this year there is a statistical chance of a following normal August of 60%, a 20% chance of a cold and 20% for a warm. August is defined normal, when the monthly mean temperature is in the interval 15 – 16.5˚C.
Ozone measurements in Copenhagen in July 2004
The concentration of ozone in the atmosphere in July 2004 was (with an nearly normal average atmospheric air pressure) below normal – 3% below compared to the average during the period 1979-88.
